Expedition Update (Summit Photo’s) – Mt Elbrus (29/3/2010)
Woo Hoo!!!! mission completed.
We are now back in Moscow after summiting the highest mountain in Europe – Mt Elbrus (5,642m or 18,442ft) at 10.38am on the 27th March, 2010.
We apologise for our lack of communication, but we were warned that we may become of interest to the Russian Military with our satellite transmissions. The Caucasus area is very politically unstable as we have seen today with the terrorist attacks in Moscow. We thought that we had best cease our transmissions before upsetting the Russian Military.
We have attached the summit photo’s and will provide a more detailed update of the summit day in the next couple of days after we settle in after our travels back from Mt Elbrus.
It is a quick expedition update as we are tired and understand there may have been some concerns back home with the terrorist attacks in Moscow and the trouble in the Caucasus Region.

Amazing! Great job men!
Well done boys….great work!
A big congrats fellas !! … must have been an amazing feeling to stand atop such a major mountain … Have a safe journey home.
Darren and Shane ,What an achievement, not only in your climbing missions but in the way you have both handled yourselves when the forces of nature have thrown their challenges to you on your journey,.As parents we are so very proud of how you have handled yourselves in what much have been at times very difficult and trying circumstances.Your photos have shown you so proudly displaying our flag and the banners, not only for the people which they represent..but to show your sponsors how much you appreciate their support. We hope that your ideals in setting out to support others by helping to give them the opportunity to enjoy and make something of their lives will be recognised and further donations come flooding in .Come home safely and we send you this message with all our love Mum and Dad Wise

They are such beautiful locations and we are very lucky to be able to go on these expeditions.
We are planning to complete Mt Everest after Denali.
Thank you so much for your support.

Amazing! Highest mountain in Europe! Mt. Elbrus.
Are you up to the next challenge? How about the highest mountain in world?
I will keep on coming back to this site to see more actions and great shots from your expedition.
Stay safe guys!
I hope we are up to the next challenge. Denali in Alaska is a tough mountain with the expedition taking over 3 weeks.
We are definitely up for the highest in the world after Denali.
We look forward to the adventures that lay ahead and will get some great material to put up on our website.
Thank you for your comments.
Best wishes.
Darren
Blue skies…White snow…Cool dudes…The only missing link is me..
Do you have a woman in the group? If none, Can I join?
Keep posting great picture and hope to see videos of you guys in action in this page.
You are more than welcome to join us on the expedition Rebecca :0)
We will definitely keep the videos and the photos coming.
We actually have head cams for Denali, so we will get some awesome actions shots.
Take care
Darren
I have a suggestion why not make a contest for your followers like me. You can have the banner on the picture as the prize. I want to have that as a souvenir and have a picture with it as well.
We would be happy to run a contest and we can get your photo on the banner on the top of Denali….or even Mt Everest.
What a great idea Heidee.
Take care and best wishes
Darren
Wow! This is a breath taking scene. Nice view guys! Many people aims to reach the highest mountain in Europe but most of them couldn’t make it. I want the jackets! I agree to that contest. Why don’t you try it?
I have no doubt that these pictures took a lot of comments. Anyone who will see this will be please to give their warm appreciation to these men. And I’m one of them!
Such a wonderful sight! This could be everyone’s center of attraction. Could you please give us an update what’s the next expedition? And more pictures and videos please (smiley). I’m pretty sure it will also be great.
This is excellent! It is another mission accomplished. Continue your goodwill towards the people who needed help. Don’t get tired of doing this and I know God has a purpose. More power for you two, Darren and Shane.
Looks like it was a beautiful expedition. You must be incredibly proud of this accomplishment. Congrats.
Beautiful pics. This is an absolute great opportunity. You are my heroes.
